Why this matters
A compromised account can interrupt trading, payroll, customer communication and access to cash. Smaller firms often have less specialist security capacity to absorb that disruption.
The standard
Security guidance should be actionable, recovery routes should be visible and material incidents should be communicated in language a business owner can use.
